Hey there…

My name is Daniel Marcou and I currently work as an outreach librarian in Minnesota.

Previously, I was employed in a variety of public, special and academic library settings, including as a consumer health librarian and a public library director.

In 2009, I was recognized as a Mover and Shaker by Library Journal for promoting public libraries as a reentry resource to people leaving corrections facilities. I’m currently investigating how public libraries can better serve families affected by incarceration.

I’m very interested in how libraries and reading can create positive change in people and strengthen communities through effective and innovative library programming.
